Create your own segmentation field and rule options, with the help of Smart Segments, to easily re-use and incorporate them into any future Segments.
Smart Segments allow you to add your own segmentation field and rule options amongst the already existing ones when setting up a segment. For example, if you have a predetermined formula to define your high-value players or a specific logic behind what defines an active or inactive player - you can create a Smart Segment for each and one of these definitions and then easily incorporate them in any future segment.
Open up Manage Segment Fields from the Settings Menu followed by Create.
Follow the instructions and fill in the General details of your new Smart Segment:
Create your definition(s) in the rule builder below. After you've created your first definition you can easily add another one and build it from scratch, or duplicate the definition you've just created to use it as a base for the next one. Like with segments, your Smart Segment can be based on one single rule or be more advanced with multiple rules applied.
Note: The Label of the general details and definition(s) is what will be visible in the segmentation field/rule dropdown menus when creating a segment.
Once you've created your desired definition(s) you can go ahead and save your Smart Segment. If the segment is ready to be used, you may also enable it.
Pro Tip: Wait with enabling your Smart Segment until someone else in your team has had the chance to Quality Assure the setup.
Once you've successfully created your segment you can now find it in the overview together with all of your created Smart Segments.
If you've enabled your Smart Segment you should now also be able to find it in the segmentation builder. Your new Smart Segment will now be available for you when building any future segmentations
Note: Your Smart Segment will only be visible in the segmentation builder if it's enabled.
